Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary is a Barbados National Environmental Heritage Site - a lush 3.5 acre oasis within the historical Graeme Hall Swamp watershed. With its ponds and wading trays surrounded by white and red mangoves, Graeme Hall is regarded by scientists, teachers, birdwatchers, and environmentalists as one of the last significant wildlife habitats on Barbados. Carefully designed boardwalks, aviaries, science and education store, observation points, and outdoor education pavilions have been constructed so that nesting actvity of Caribbean flyway birds is not disturbed. All access is designed for disabled and other specialized visitors with ramps, paved walkways, and numerous shaded rest areas. The Sanctuary promotes conservation, ecotourism, and education. It is open seven days a week from 8am to 6pm. Last tour leaves at 5:15pm.
