Villa Nova
Barbados Hotels
welcome
The elegance and charm of a luxury tropical vacation home within the walls of a historic and stately house.
Villa Nova is one of the last remaining Great Houses of Barbados. A grand plantation house built with hand-cut coral stone in 1834 and set in 15 walled acres of tropical forest and lush gardens, it sits atop the verdant hills of the island's breathtaking East Coast.
Surrounded by sugar, banana and mango plantations where the cane is still hand cut, the house was a home and a retreat for statesmen, royalty and the stars of stage and screen.
It re-opened in April 2001 to international acclaim after a multi-million dollar refurbishment and renovation to restore its grand colonial heritage while bringing its facilities and services up to and beyond the standards demanded by discerning travellers.
Villa Nova has 28 beautifully appointed and spacious rooms and suites. Each has its own private terrace overlooking the gardens or pool with tables and chairs for in-room dining and steamer chairs for relaxation.
Every suite has a large bathroom with both claw-foot bath and separate walk-in shower and the complimentary toiletries, in keeping with Villa Nova's commitment to quality include the famous Italian Acqua di Parma soaps and lotions with hair products by Philip Kingsley of London and New York.
All have been individually designed and furnished by the internationally acclaimed Nina Campbell who has combined elegance and luxury without sacrificing the informality and relaxation required to make a vacation truly restful.
Each has a CD music centre with a collection of discs, widescreen televisions with a full package of satellite channels and DVD movie selection.
