Rated by John G. on 05/22/12 We highly recommend Fisherpond Great House for their Buffet Lunch on a Sunday and I believe also on a Thursday now. Atlantis Hotel at Bathsheba is also excellent with beautiful views over the Atlantic.
Rated by Elizabeth H. on 05/22/12 We also went, for the first time, to Fisher Pond Great House for Sunday lunch. What a treat! Met by the glorious table decorations loaded with bougainvillaea and led into the cool, shady garden amongst the parrots for superb cocktails, it was a joy. The food was essentially, "home cooked", simple but good and varied (we had a table indoors but some people ate outside) and the whole thing had the atmosphere of a country house party, complete with a really good pianist. The food and drinks were served by a truly delightful bunch of young people - all friends of the family, it transpired - who were helpful, charming and fitted in exactly with the atmosphere. Remember to take cash to pay for the meal - no credit cards here! And get a taxi there - you'd never find it otherwise!!!

Rated by Barry Ascot on 04/30/11 We have just been back this month and enjoyed yet another incredible family lunch. Our first visit to Fisher Pond Great House was in 2009, nobody had told us about it until Michael Winner raved about it in his "Sunday Times" column. As regular Barbados Barbados visitors even our hotel concierge at Sandy Lane had repeatedly failed to recommend it. We have now been four times and it has been nothing short of an incredible experience.......almost worth a special trip to Barbados. The Chandlers who own this 400 year old plantation house are wonderful hosts. The food is best ever in Barbados and we have tried it all, over the years. Sadly on of the stunning parrots had passed away since our previous visit but happily the wonderful elderly lady pianist who plays through lunch was going strong.
How can they inform clients that their recommendations are based on client feedback and talk about, “experiencing this month I recommended Fisher Pond to a friend who is agent to many famous pop stars (including Robbie Williams) and also to Mr Des O’Connor. Both parties emailed me to say how wonderful Fisher Pond was and how much they had enjoyed it.
Fisher Pond Great House is a total bargain. Fantastic value when compared to places such as The Cliff and Tides where I found the food and service very poor in comparison.
After many visits to Barbados the very best restaurant experience is Fisher Pond Great House. The Cliff is one of the worst and whenever I have visited The Cliff we have been kept waiting for almost one hour for our table, even though we arrived on time (apart from once when our guest was the former general manager of Sandy Lane, Carl Henderson...that time we were seated immediately). Fisher Pond is simply the greatest dining experience in Barbados.
Rated by Richard C. on 04/23/11 Fisher Pond was a great experience for the Sunday brunch and would certainly return to it in the future.

Rated by Anne on 02/02/11 We went to Great Fisherpond House for their buffet lunch for the 2nd time. It is a great experience.
Rated by Sean Hayes on 03/16/10 Such a beautiful location, somehow overshadowed by the house itself. Entering and seeing the attention to detail, a green slip reflecting green glassware, a pink slip reflecting pink glassware, beautifully presented tableware and napkins, every thought has been given to the visitors pleasure. The staff are a delight and the owners are beyond praise. We felt that we had been personal guests throughout the meal and on leaving. Please keep going, we want to come back over the next few years on our trips to this beautiful island and your beautiful home. Sean Hayes March 2010. (The Pepperpot is the very best you will ever be served).

Rated by Joseph Szkotnicki on 05/28/08 The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. There aren't nearly enough superlatives to describe the lovely house with its quaint interior, exquisite table settings, and picturesque grounds. We truly had an enjoyable, relaxing and memorable time. This was our second visit and we have plans on returning many more times.

Rated by Brown on 09/20/07 This is one of the best-kept secrets in Barbados. We had our wedding here in 2006 and it was 100 times better than I could have even dreamed of. A fantastic place in every regard!
Rated by Jim Hunt on 04/19/07 Mr. Chandler has captured the grace and style of his Ocean View Hotel and melded the Bajan culture into a sensory feast. His personal history and tales of the island's past add to the experience. I highly recommend any meal there. Ask John about his vehicle being mistaken for the Queens!
Rated by Susan Tyzack on 03/19/07 Lovely setting, attentive staff, great food. Had the feel of a house party. Wish there were more places live this in England!
