Medford Craft Village
Medford Mahogany and Craft Village, located just minutes from Bridgetown, has become the most highly recognised centre for genuine Barbadian mahogany souvenirs and gifts. Owned by self taught artist Dr. Reggie Medford, the three shops feature a beautiful array of hand carved birds, boats, fish, clocks and other local crafts. Best of all, visitors are free to watch, photograph or video tape the craftsmen as they work in and among piles of mahogany. A visit to Medford Craft Village immerses you into the world of Barbadian craftsmanship.
Located near Baxters Road, 4 minutes drive from town, on the RHS when approaching from the traffic lights in Eagle Hall.

Rated by David Whitelaw on 02/17/09 Just returned from a visit to Barbados and we had a most informative visit to the Craft Village. What a great guy is Dr Reggie - most unassuming but very talented. Was bought a unique root carving by my wife for my birthday and Dr Reggie signed it and posed for a photogragh. Back home the scupture is already being commented upon.
How can I get more?
