Sail Bermuda

Shekynah (pronounced Shek-eye-nah), is a 51-foott Morgan Out Island. She is a ketch rig, built in Florida in 1976. Large enough to accommodate 25 passengers, she is the perfect vessel for charter sailing in Bermuda. With a very shallow keel (only 5 ˝ feet), Shekynah is able to venture where many vessels cannot. This is essential when one desires to get up close and personal to Bermuda’s sub-aquatic wildlife.

Shekynah is fully equipped with masks and snorkels, but no fins, since the island has the third saltiest water in the world, making buoyancy a breeze! Shekynah boasts plenty of deck space for those sun-worshippers, or if you prefer the shade, a bimini cover, large enough to protect at least 10. She carries two large coolers, packed with ice, water, sodas, beer and swizzle, or whatever you desire to bring along, including food. There is also refrigeration in the galley if necessary. Two toilets are fitted, as well as a fresh-water shower on deck for those wishing to rinse off after exploring Bermuda’s under-sea world.
