Discover the Culture and Beauty of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival

Imagine rich culture, historic atmosphere and 13 solid days of music all set against beautiful blue waters of Pidgeon Island.  St. Lucia Jazz Festival runs from April 30 – May 11 and will feature more than fifty “acclaimed entertainers and artisans” from across the globe.

Artists scheduled for 2013 include:

  • R. Kelly – a highly skilled vocalist, composer and producer who sets his expertise and classical training to a thoroughly modern sound.
  • Akon – a five time Grammy-nominated crooner with “countless hits across genres–from pop and R&B to hip hop and dance.”
  • 4th World – A St. Lucia local reggae band with international acclaim.
  • The Jacksons – Who doesn’t know the Jacksons! The Jacksons are an American popular music family group from Gary, Indiana.  Original members Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Michael Jackson formed the group. The Jacksons played from a repertoire of R&B, Soul, Pop and (in the 1970s) Disco.
  • Tito Puente Jr. –  The comparison is inevitable.  Of course! Tito Puente Jr. has his father with him – imprinted on his physical being and locked in his soul. It’s in his looks, his joy, and his music…. to name just a few.

St. Lucia, with its white sand beaches, palm trees, lush rain forests and gorgeous mountain hikes, appeals to the adventurous.  The St. Lucia Jazz Festival adds something for those “cultural enthusiasts, festival lovers and music aficionados.”  For two weeks, balance relaxation and excitement in one of the world’s most exotic locations.  For the final touch of comfort and luxury on your vacation explore these delightful, superbly located hotel options, or, for an even more exclusive stay (and additional romance) surround yourself in the tropical bliss of a St. Lucia villa.

Remember, this festival only happens once a year, and this line-up only happens once.
