Kim Lund opened First Realty of Cayman in February 1990. In July 1991, the agency became a RE/MAX franchisee and changed its name to RE/MAX First Realty. (The name changed to RE/MAX Cayman Islands in 1996.) Kim decided to go with the RE/MAX name because of its broad recognition in the North American market as well as the standard of professionalism that the name portrays. Kim's beliefs and philosophies about the business have always been to provide a better service, be more competitive than anyone else and to wait for and hire the best employees versus growing too quickly.
