The name "Morua Mai" is the ancient Indian name for "fishing point". The restaurant is located on the main street in El Batey, Sosua.
Excellent paella stuffed with lobster and shrimps. The Surf & Turf here is an absolute winner. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, all in a tropical ambience. All meats are U.S.D.A. and seafood is specially selected and purchased fresh by the owner to ensure consistency.
Its patio, facing a popular intersection, is the closest thing to a European side walk cafe in town. Inside, where occasional live entertainment is an important attraction, is a high-ceilinged, double-decked and stylish space filled with touches of neo-victorian gingerbread, upholstered banquettes, and wicker furniture. Don't overlook the possibility of a sun-washed drink or cup of afternoon tea in this establishment's courtyard where lunch is served between 11:30am and 5:30pm, dinner is on from 6:00 to 11:30pm daily.
