Costa Cruise Lines is a subsidiary of Costa Crociere of Genoa which is owned by Carnival Corporation and Airtours (since 1997).

With eight ships (2000), Costa Crociere is the largest cruise operator in Europe and South America. In addition, Costa markets its new ships in North America and also sails seasonally with North American passengers from Port Everglades, whiile homeporting one ship in Guadeloupe for European passengers.
