Off the beaten track, about 10 minutes by cab from downtown, this simple place is worth the trip for a chance to experience true Yucatecan cuisine served by the amiable owners, Rafael and Maruca. Don't miss the pollo pibíl (chicken baked in banana leaves with pumpkin-chili sauce) or the poc chuc (pork marinated in a sour-orange sauce and pickled onions). There are also daily specials, and paella on request. No credit cards. No lunch.
