came with my company and LOVED it. Although I was disappointed with the food- nothing I couldn't get at a bad fast food place. Loved the island and the great and reasonable gift/clothing shop. Atmosphere was excellent and activities to attend were fun and affordable. I lost three pounds, the only vacation that I didn't enjoy the food!

The Othello restaurant and the Cafe Caribe do not serve good quality food. It is badly prepared and all can be purchased at a local supermarket. The eggs were very tough for breakfast, toast was soggy and juice was not fresh. The ravioli at Othellos was from a freezer bag and boiled and served with a bottled supermarket sauce. The water costs us $20 and we didn\'t even get the bottle on the table! We had to remind someone that we had ordered wine that could be purchased in a supermarket for 5 times less than we were charged! The salad came before the wine was served. We had to ask for Olive oil for the cold, stale bread that is not Italian bread ( nor fresh). We were charged $100 for our meal that would have costs us $15 to prepare at home for the two of us (and that includes the wine)! Our room always had hair on the floor in the bathroom (never vacuumed) and the carpet in the hallway was never vacuumed while we were there for 4 days. There was a dead bug on the floor outside our room for 3 days and I had to ask someone to clean it up. Our sink was stopped up the entire time, when the cleaning staff should have noiticed it when they cleaned the bathroom each day (if they did).
The hallway carpet seriously needs to be replaced as well as the carpet in the rooms. We were very disappointed in all the extremely high prices and such poor quality for the money. This hotel is just too beautiful to had such poor quality food and cleaning service. However, if you noticed a problem they came to respond and correct the problem promptly and with very nice attitudes.
Bottom line...please improve your food quality and preparation and don\'t charge so much for cheap wine. Get a better wine selection with reasonable prices and you will sell more. Don\'t charge $10 for a bottle of water! Not everyone who stays in this hotel is wealthy!
