Chef Alfredo Ayala, a champion of the latest trends in Puerto Rican and Caribbean cuisine, has created a sensation with this restaurant. The chef fuses haute international cuisine with tropical panache. Appetizers include sopas del dias (soups of the day) made with local produce like yuca and yams, chayote stuffed with prosciutto, cheese and tomatoes in a tempura batter, and corn tamales with shrimp in coconut sauce. Half of the entrées on the menu are seafood dishes, including pan-seared tuna with Asian ginger sauce and black grouper fillet in a vegetable fricassee sauce with Gouda cheese fritters. Closed Sunday and Monday.
