Rated by Heather Hoeffner Solis on 02/23/06 Anne Marie is an overpriced itinerary creator. She did not even bother calling the day of the wedding to see if I needed anything. The day prior, when she verbally committed to helping but decided an apt with another bride was more important, my entire family was running around like crazy instead of enjoyig their expensive vacation. I asked for help with the kids shoes which were special ordered and didn't fit, never did she offer to see if she could help. Do not expect any extras from Anne Marie Kliess or even someone to count on for an emergency. She had a family crisis and kept reminding me of this when she didn't come through, however in her contract it says if she is unable to perform her repsonsilbilites she would provide someone else. I guess she didn't want to lose the money b/c the only thing she was efficient on was getting paid. She is paid by the hour, yet she asked the same questions on many occasions, and I often had to e-mail several times to get something done. Furhermore, she doesn't even answer her phone or e-mails, her assistant does, who then decides what is important to pass on to her. Many things, which I was charged for time on, were not passed on to her. She never heard about them. Three days prior to the wedding I was going down her checklist to make sure things were done, and some were not. I did fly in a day later than scheduled for my wedding, but I also had flown in two times prior to get everything accomplished. She waited until last minute and the day before the wedding she had my fiance at the tourism office for three hours trying to get a permit to take pictures in Old San Juan, shouldn't she have taken care of this on a previous visit? Yet she waits unitl the day before the wedding when my fiance and I were supposed to be setting up for rehearsal dinner, but we didn't worry b/c she had assured us she would be there to help, so we figured we could pull it off. She even told my mother in front of my fiance earlier that day that she would see us at 4:00 - where was she? Trying to get business from another bride. Furthermor, she spend over an hour going over how I wanted my wedding, at $75 an hour and still did it completely opposite of what I told her over and over. She had photos of how the sashes were supposed to be tied on the chairs and even these simples tasks she could not handle. The wedding was still beautiful and wonderful and her vendors are incredilbe. The guest would not have known there were any glitches, but don't think this woman will eleviate your stress - she actually added to mine. My guests who have delt with wedding coordinators before, including male guests, were apallled that she considers herself to be such a great wedding planner. She even got into two seperate yelling matches with me. Before I was getting dressed for my own wedding we were yelling at each other in front of all the vendors, I felt complelled to say something to calm the situation. She still felt she was wonderul and saw no wrong in herself. Let me tell you something, if you use here, do not take her word for anything even if i t is that she will run last minute errands for you, MAKE SUE YOU GET IT IN WRITING, even the simplest things. Make sure you know what you need help with even if it is running to the store to last minute in case of emergencies, I would suggest making sure it is in the contract.
