Eden Rock evolved from an imaginatively sited house built 50 years ago by Remy de Haenen who was a celebrated local adventurer.

In 1995, the property was bought by an English couple, David and Jane Matthews who intended, initially to use it as a holiday home. However a small bar was operating ... which was kept running ... one thing followed another ... and five years later The Eden Rock Hotel was invited to join Relais & Chateaux.
