St. Croix Activities
The largest of the U.S Virgin Islands, St. Croix still retains much of its Danish heritage.
Although quieter than its sister island St. Thomas, there's still much to do here. Deep-sea fisherman are drawn to these waters, where blue marlin, yellow-fin tuna, and wahoo are abundant. Buck Island Reef National Monument, a nature preserve operated by the U.S. National Park Service, is an excellent spot for scuba diving and snorkeling. There's a marked underwater snorkling trail on the reef's eastern end. A number of horseback riding trails crisscross throughout the island. Golfers can select from several championship courses. Adventurers can take guided tours of the rainforest, mangroves, and beaches.
