Restaurant Bacchus
St. Croix Restaurants
Upstairs in a historic townhouse on Queen Cross Street in the heart of Christiansted is where you'll find Bacchus. This chic new restaurant has already won recognition from not one but two prestigious culinary magazines - Food & Wine and Wine Spectator. Named for the god of wine, it is fitting that Bacchus has the largest wine selection on St. Croix; many available by the glass; including champagne. The heart of Bacchus lies in the kitchen, where some of the most imaginative creations emerge. Hand cut steaks to order and lobster headline the menu, accompanied by traditional, yet updated dishes like sweetbreads and oysters Rockefeller. The climax of the evening is the dessert and French press coffee that can also be enjoyed in the billiard room. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Dinner is served from 6 to 10 pm.
Reservations recommended. Major credit cards accepted.
Rated by Bruce on 04/06/08 Some of the best food on the island, and definitely the best wine list. It is, however, not a bargain. Expect to pay accordingly.
Rated by T.D. on 02/09/06 Great food. You have to try their tuna sushi! And, even better wine list. The best on the island.
