Ixora is a five bedroom, four bath very beautiful and private luxury home completed in 1991. It consists of three traditionally styled hip roofed buildings connected by decks, covered walkways and garden patios, and is located on a 1000' mountaintop with majestic views of St. John, the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the British Virgin Islands.

The largest villa pool on St. John is surrounded by a 75' deck, a dining gazebo and fourteen Tropitone deck chairs and recliners. At night the low voltage site lights supplement the fabled Caribbean moonlight to produce an irresistibly romantic and relaxing evening setting while the daytime views are breathtakingly beautiful.

The living, dining and kitchen areas are located in the great house with high ceilings and exposed cedar beams, Mexican tiled floors, ceiling fans and fourteen oiled mahogany French doors. Indirect valance lighting, rattan furniture designed by Donghia, Fire and Stone lamps, a 26" TV, VCR, JVC stereo, CD player, cassette deck, ceiling speakers and an equalizer, create a soft and elegant atmosphere. You may choose from three dining areas: the glass topped white coral formal dining table seats ten, while the pool side gazebo seats eight and the garden patio table seats six.

The kitchen is spacious and very modern with coral granite Corian counter tops, a European glass cook top stove, Frigidaire oven, built-in Sharp microwave, Whirlpool dishwasher, GE refrigerator freezer and a complete assortment of pots and pans, dinnerware, appliances and cooking utensils and equipment. You'll be challenged to find something missing from this kitchen.

On both sides of the great house are separate master bedroom suites and tastefully furnished guest bedrooms, all with Walters wicker furniture, queen or double beds, tiled floors, large closets with mirrored doors, ceiling fans and screened sliding glass windows with awe inspiring views. The owners' master bedroom contains a lovely Don Alderson four poster oversize bamboo bed with matching chaise.

The view from Ixora is one of the best in the Virgin Islands, especially at sunrise. Everyone who has viewed this villa has been greatly impressed by its majestic and elegant beauty and style. If you have stayed on St. John at Gallows Point, Battery Hill or the Gifft Hill homes, you'll love this latest production by the same noted architect.

Being three minutes from the calm, clear waters and white sand beaches of Maho and Leinster Bays and with a 60' pool, Ixora is heaven to the serious swimmer, snorkeler or beach person.
