Belle Coco Villa is located on the Malgretout Road in Soufriere, St. Lucia, West Indies. It is on a steep hillside above Malgretout Beach and is surrounded by coconut palms, mango trees, bamboo, plantains, bananas, and many beautiful flowering plants. The views from all rooms are spectacular with the Petit Piton mountain rising 2000 feet from the sea. The house faces south and west with the 30ft pool directly outside. There is a large Barbados clay tile terrace on one end of the pool and a large wooden deck with a shade pavilion at the other end. There are no other houses visible except in the far distance at the end of Malgretout Beach close to the Piton.

The villa is L-shaped with the master bedroom facing south to the mountain and the dining/living room and the second bedroom facing west to the sea. The kitchen and bathrooms are at the back of the house.

The master bedroom is large and spacious with a king size bed, carved red cedar chest of drawers, two bedside tables, standing cheval mirror, antique table and a closet for linens and hanging clothes. All the windows and doors are painted white with pale green trim. There are two windows to the north, two to the west, and a large stone arch opening with sheer white curtains hanging from a bamboo pole. The view through the arch looks over the pool and mountain. All of the doors and windows at Belle Coco have iron grillwork and wooden louver shutters and doors. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The bathroom adjoining the master bedroom has a garden next to the shower. All of the linens and towels are of excellent quality and large pool towels are provided.

The second bedroom is smaller in size, but still has a king size bed, red cedar chest of drawers, wall lights for reading in bed and two windows to the south. The doors and windows are painted white with aqua blue trim. The stone arch looks through sheer white curtains to the west over the pool, through the tops of the coconut trees to the sea. The adjoining bathroom has closets with shelves and room for hanging clothes.

The living/dining area has a dining table for four at one end, and two seven foot settees with Ian Mankin fabric at the other end. The high ceiling and large wall spaces are perfect for the Indian and kilim rugs and original oil paintings on the walls. The floors throughout the house and terrace are Barbados clay tile.

The kitchen is painted green and white and is completely equipped with a large fridge, gas stove, food processor, toaster, coffee maker, Russell Hobbs kettle, blender and Gelato ice cream machine. There is china and glassware for eight. The house has no TV or VCR but there is a CD player in the living room. There are two hair dryers and a washing machine available.

The pool area has four sun beds with cushions. There is a white table and four chairs for eating outside and paper lanterns with lights for the evening.

Belle Coco is a perfect place to relax, read, enjoy the beautiful lush landscape, bathe in the Mineral Baths, visit the botanical gardens and Sulphur Springs, hike in the rainforest and discover some of the best diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean. Come and relax and enjoy being looked after by my staff.

Staff are not optional, they must come at least every other day to clean the villa. Due to condition of access road - jeep rental essential.

Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.
