St Lucia is the sort of island that travelers to the Caribbean dream about – a small, lush tropical gem that is still relatively unknown.
One of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, it is located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St Vincent, and north of Barbados.
St Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, with a shape that is said to resemble either a mango or an avocado (depending on your taste). The Atlantic Ocean kisses its eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty to the calm Caribbean Sea.
Travel to the Caribbean to discover why St Lucia attractions are truly unlike anything else the world has to offer. We invite you to experience our fascinating, exhilarating and spectacularly beautiful emerald isle in the embrace of incomparable luxury with a Soufriere vacation at The Jalousie Plantation.

Hi. We had an amazing trip to St. Lucia and Jalousie. Jalousie’s grounds were breathtaking and the set up of the villas being on the hill with the beach and restaurants down below was really unusual and fun. The shuttle buses taking you up and down the mountain were critical but they were always there very quickly upon being called. We stayed in 803. View was very nice and location was very nice and remote. Room was very large with a small sitting room adjoining it and a huge bathroom and walk in closet. We had breakfast every morning at the beach restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Our reservation included breakfast and it was worth it. The only meal I didn’t much care for was at the Great Room. My husband enjoyed his but I didn’t like my steak. I sent it back and they tried again but it wasn’t that great. That said, we had a nice dinner with great service and in a beautiful setting. The beach and pool area was wonderful. We had a lot of drinks at the beach bar and lounged on hammocks down there. The Cane bar was good as well. We left the hotel 2x for dinner. Once at Hotel Chocolat which we didn’t really like. I liked the concept but in reality it was just kind of weird. There was chocolate in everything and it didn’t always translate well. We also ate at Ladera which was amazing. View was unbelievable and the food was delicious. Only bad thing was we were eaten alive by bugs but that was true for all of St. Lucia. We did a couples massage at Jalousie and it was amazing- 1 hour massage followed by lunch and champagne in a rain-forest hut and then our own personal watsu pool- not to be missed. Over all it was an amazing time. We’d go back to the Jalousie in a second!
