The Great House Restaurant

St. Lucia Restaurants

The gracious Great House Restaurant sits beneath spreading branches of Cedar and Campeche, upon a foundation of ancient stone, which echoes the hilstory of plantation life in St. Lucia. The original estate house of Cap Estate, owned by Monsieur de Longueville, Military Commandant of St. Lucia, stood upon these stones roughly 250 years ago.

Today, the Great House Restaurant embraces the past traditions of grandeur established during the eighteenth century by the de Brette family in a setting of that same warmth and camaraderie.

Creative interpretations of French cuisine is attentively served, your culinary experience will be distinguished by the creation that embodies the essence of our Chef's modern cuisine - using the very freshest of ingredients couples with the Great House fanciful wine list.

Chef Jeroen Van Den Bos has been names "Best Chef" and "Best Upcoming Chef" and "Best New Restaurant" in Rio de Janeiro. He was invited to the position of Chef De Cuisine for the highly acclaimed Peacock Alley Restaurant at the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.

We had our wedding reception at the restaurant in 2001, there were 21 guests and it was a fantastic day - would recommend. It was very romantic and we all danced on the terrace after our meal!!

Lennora Pierrot-Williams:The pure pleasure of being served by St.Lucia's best staff. The beauty of the place makes me want to get married again and again. The view is breath taking making it the place to be in St. Lucia night after night.

the views are amazing. unfortunately the food is seriously overpriced and is average at best. there were cockroaches running around on the patio outside. i also came home to find that they overcharged me $65 US dollars on my card...i still haven't been able to get a hold of them in order to get a refund on the overcharge. seriously not worth it. the cliff at cap maison is hands down the way to go.

We have been to St.Lucia three times and we make a point of going there for dinner at least once a visit. Make your reservation for 1/2 hour before sunset.
