St. Maarten Restaurants
For almost 27 years, Chesterfields has been serving up memorable meals for hungry sailors, local business people and friends. Back in the 1980s, Chesterfields was the gathering place in Great Bay for cruisers, racers, captains and crew. Hurricanes Louis and Lennie provided the opportunity to rebuild the deck overlooking the bay, as well as making a few other changes to the restaurant, but over the years, Chesterfields' friendly staff and great food have made Chesterfields a tradition in St. Maarten.
Chesterfields staff, most of whom have been with the restaurant since it opened, have been serving up hearty breakfasts, leisurely lunches, and special dinners for almost three decades.
Chesterfields is known for fresh seafood. Every day the cooks come up with creative specials to bring you delicious seafood with a Caribbean flair. Chesterfields serves fresh lobster from Saba, and for something a little different, try the popular Duck Chesterfields, roast duckling served with pineapple and banana sauce. For a special finale, save room for dessert, including cheesecake, expresso flan, or a Chesterfields sundae.
From the deck at Chesterfields, there's always a beautiful view of Great Bay's clean, clear turqoise waters, and the sunsets will add a special backdrop to your special evening.

Again, Geoff hits it out of the park. Chesterfield's is by far one of the top eating places on the island.

The fish is wonderful, MahiMahi, exquisite . . unfortunately some of the staff should not be in the service business but it is a small island and maybe they can't find great help. They should get an office job where they don't have to meet the public

Do not eat at Chesterfields if you have an allergies to seafood/fish or if you want friendly service! We ordered the calamari and to our surprise found it mixed with scallops. Menu id not mention this so my brother ended up having a bad allergic reaction to it and was very sick. When we metioned the problem to our waitress (who is not friendly), her response was, "oh sorry, we have told the cook he's not supposed to do that". Service is not friendly and the food is not great either.

We have been longterm stayovers on St.Maarten. March lead to July led to Sept. Coming back and forth from "The States"; we always come back to Chesterfields. It is the perfect dockside restaurant. Dinner at dusk is nice, but; I am a breakfast person! The French Toast is always perfect and the Eggs Benedict is ideal. For a place to come home to, I Come to Chesterfields
