Once home to the pirates Captain Kidd, Blackbeard, and Bluebeard, St. Thomas is now a top vacation destination.

Under Danish control until 1917, St. Thomas is now part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its historic and picturesque capital, Charlotte Amalie is the number one port of call for cruise ships sailing the Caribbean and the town center is listed on National Register of Historic Places.

The island has much to boast of: excellent scuba diving and snorkeling, a wonderful golf course, tennis courts, and the best duty-free shopping in the Caribbean, great dining, and 44 fabulous beaches. Magens Bay on the north coast is considered one of the world's best and the view there is stunning.
