Our tour bikes are all quality hard tail mountain bikes ranging from Marin, Schwinn, Specialized and Giant. They all have standard V-brakes, riser or flat bars and come with flat pedals. Bring your own SPD’s or clipped-in system if you’d prefer.
All tours come with helmet, gloves, snacks, water and Slow Leak guides, of course. We decide on routes for the tour depending on level of the rider’s fitness, experience and the immediate weather conditions.
At Slow Leak we highly recommend bringing your own bike if you can. Traveling with your bike from the UK is free of charge and from the US usually involves a nominal fee.
We all ride hard tails here because of they are easier to maintain and there are no bike shops on the island nor suitable mechanics to tinker with rear shocks. A full suspension bike with lockout features is very handy here but bring an extra rear shock just in case.
