Legal Requirements for Marriage in Turks & Caicos
Couple must be in the Turks & Caicos for 24 hours prior to making their marriage application with either the Pastor or Marriage Officer. To ensure smooth scheduling, etc. please contact either the Pastor or Marriage Officer as far in advance as possible.
Both parties must submit passports as proof of identification. A birth certificate and proof of current marital status is also required. Blood tests are not required.
If divorced an original divorce decree must be produced. If widowed an original death certificate must be submitted. Notarized copies with an original stamp are acceptable.
Both parties must be over 21 years of age: If either or both are minors, but over 16 years, a notarized written consent of one or both parents or legal guardian must be produced. Notarized proof of legal guardianship must be submitted.
